Claude apprenticed under a C. A. Bazin whose reputation was already great at that time. He worked under Gand & Bernadel and was exposed to great pieces of bows and was influenced greatly by the school of Viorin. He made a large quantity of bows, some which are of very beautiful quality and his name is recognized and prized in our time. In this example, he made the bow possibly during collaboration with Albert Jacquot around 1910. Dense and strong wood and refine workmanship.
