Joseph Alfred Lamy, known as “Lamy Pere”

Year: 1890

Region: PARIS

Alfred Lamy (father) was one of the most important bow makers of his time. He apprenticed with C. Husson but then worked for F.N. Voirin, which very much formed his style. This bow is a typical example from the period. It is mounted in silver and beautiful quality ebony and is in every way a soloist bow.

Stamped: A. Lamy a Paris
