This is a very sought after violin from the workshop of Francois Caussin, C.1900. It boasts its rich and tone in rich texture and sonority. This antique turn-of-the-century violin is an unmistakable and typical representative of the instruments from the French violin-making town of Mirecourt; its provenance is indisputable, even though the “Stradivari” label suggests Italian provenance.
The highly transparent, golden-brown varnish complements the aesthetic effect of the deep flaming on the two-piece maple back. This French violin is in perfect condition and great collector piece.
